Okay, so by now, you’d know that I love all things fairytale! And I love photography. Something I probably would never do… underwater photography. One, is because right now I don’t have the right equipments to do so. Two, and the most important one, I can’t even swim so how do you expect me to be comfortable taking photographs under water? But that aside, the reason I’m mixing fairytale with underwater photography is this:

Follow the white rabbit into waterland...

Tick tock, tick tock! Find the white rabbit, Alice...

Follow the white rabbit, Alice...

Follow the white rabbit, Alice...

These photographs are all taken by Elena Kalis appropriately named Alice in Waterland. She is a photographer living in the Bahamas and her area of expertise is – surprise, surprise – underwater photography! She has some great portfolio on her website, however this one caught my attention due to the Alice in Wonderland feel about it.

Tea under water, anyone?

Tea, anyone?

Alice, drinking tea... under water. Is that even possible?

If the tea party ain’t your thing, here are more photos. Great concept using the “through the looking glass” idea; another reference that leads you back to Lewis Caroll’s books. Love these images:

Don't be late Alice!

Now I feel like watching Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. Come to think of it, I can’t really remember much of the film at all… Maybe I should! :)
