Sometime in December, I had a chance to visit Queen Victoria Market’s Wednesday night market, held weekly for the duration of summer. It is everything I love about markets, from the food stalls to live bands, from the arts and crafts to beautiful paintings.
And so, I went a little crazy and searched high and low for the best of the market. In the next 2 weeks (yes, for the first time ever, it’s going to be a 2-week long themed blogs), I will blog about my favourite findings from the night market! :) Here’s a little sneak peek:

Wednesday night markets: fun & colourful for all ages!

Gotta love the variety of food & drink stalls around the market...

Whether it be eating or getting a tattoo, you can find them all here!

Find the perfect gift - from handmade accessories to original paintings!

Love arts & crafts? Then you'll love this blog in the next 2 weeks! ;)
Melbournians, you gotta love this! <3
Harry Potter boxed set – still in my wishlist!

There has been this one thing that has been in my wishlist for a long time and yet I have gathered enough reasoning for me to buy it. Well, by saying one thing, I meant one of the things – as I have an increasingly growing wishlist that is impossible to be fulfilled in one go…

Harry Potter complete boxed set
Harry Potter boxed set. The complete book 1 – 7 of the Harry Potter series, in a nice boxed set, for collection & reading purposes. I’ve always wanted it, ever since book 7 was released. But somehow, it was either I couldn’t choose which version to have or I just can’t justify buying it – since technically, I already have the books separately.
To my defense, I lost book 6. And book 1 is technically not mine (and is a different version to the rest). Some books are paperback and some are hardcover. And they’re all a bit worn out. So yes, plenty of excuses. Because I want my Harry Potter complete boxed set! Lol. It’s only AU$90!
Anime as ads: kawaii marketing campaigns

Oh how I love all things kawaii. So when I discovered these cute advertising campaigns, I just have to post it here! Mind you, you might have to know a little bit about Japanese anime to understand these witty yet adorable ads. What you need to know is the fact that Japanese animations usually consist girls (and boys) with big round eyes that cover about half – or more – of their face… So now that that’s out of the way, here are 2 ads for Acuvue Define contact lens in Thailand:

Witty advertising of contact lens with cute anime character as the ambassador!

The Acuvue ad is relevant to the anime-obsessed population in Thailand & Asia!
And if that’s not enough cuteness (and for those not familiar with that brand), Covergirl too has created a kawaii ad to promote their eye make up products. Adorable!

Covergirl shows us how kawaii anime girls get their cute adorable big eyes!
Smart ideas, don’t you think? Using pop culture to accentuate their product branding. Kawaii!
