Kampung Daun, or Village of Leaves by translation, is a traditional Indonesian restaurant in Bandung. Located in the scenic hill town of Lembang (West Java, Indonesia), Kampung Daun was originally a remote tropical forest, thick with bamboo groves and plants and trees of every variety, supplied by a beautiful waterfall. The concept of Kampung Daun is based upon a real village where the locals go about their daily activities with their trademark lifestyle of humbleness, friendliness, caring and service to each other.

Kampung Daun: Bandung's magical restaurant
I haven’t been there, even though I have visited Bandung many times in my life. But this time round, I am determined to visit and enjoy the traditional Indonesian food together with the beauty of the surrounding area. I mean, look at this place, who wouldn’t want to visit…

Welcome to the beautiful village of leaves...

Look at the beauty of this place/restaurant... Wow!

Nature meets work of art...

A different eating experience in a bungalow...

Let's hope Kampung Daun will leave us wanting more!
Now I’m only hoping that the experience is as wonderful as the reviews! :)
BitterSweets, sweets with bitter messages…

I love great ideas, even if they are a little bit sad or morbid, like this: BitterSweets. Dubbed the “Valentine’s Day Candy For The Rest Of Us”, BitterSweets lollies are sweet alright in taste (I think), but the message that comes with each of the candy definitely ain’t that sweet. They come in three different tins with different messages for the dysfunction, dejected, or dumped.

BitterSweets, sweets with bitter messages!

Which one describes how you feel right now?

A tin of lollies that'll make you sad...

Tell your frustration to the world!!! Or.... just eat them!

Buy it. Eat it. But be prepared to be sad...
Smart idea, I would say. It’s US$9.95 each, not cheap for something that’s probably going to make you more suicidal than anything. Not sure if you’d want this as a gift, and it’s also rather sad to buy a pack for yourself. Nonetheless, I wouldn’t mind getting one just to have a bit of a laugh (or more like, have a cry?).
