New Year is approaching – and summer is in full bloom, so chuck all your thick winter coats into your closet, and bring all the pretty summer party dresses out for your celebration! :) Yes, we may not get a white Christmas here in Australia, but at least we get to party ’til the new year comes wearing our best dresses! And this week, it’ll be all about anticipating for New Year (oh don’t I just love themed blogs?).
I’m in love with my online shop findings. I know that I’ll never afford the designer dresses, but just looking at them is enough for me now! Lol. Net-A-Porter is an online shop that offers plenty of designer clothings, fresh off the catwalk dresses too!

Oscar de la Renta: tulle strapless

Milly: Elizabeth ruffle sleeveless

Stella McCartney: pleated silk-satin

Marchesa: strapless silk rosette

Preen: peplette technical crepe

Moschino C&C: bow detail taffetta
My favourite would be the Moschino Cheap and Chic’s bow detail taffetta dress that combines pink and black in a very elegant yet playful way. The cheapest from the range I’ve picked is already above £300, and the most expensive being the Oscar de la Renta’s dress for more than £5000. If only designer dresses can be a little more affordable…

While spring is still here – and we can tell from the disturbed weather in the last week or so – let’s take a look ahead at some of the fashion shows from around the globe.
We know there’ll be plenty of heat in the next couple of months, so keep yourself cool by wearing military/biker/awesome designer clothings – and still look ultra feminine!

Look feminine & yet tough with military influence!

Zip it up and wear your helmet!

Spring's the right time for jackets & skirts!

Look cool in the hot weather...

One thing to love: those assymetrical skirts...
All dresses are taken from Phi spring 2010 runway collection.

Spring is here. And the good news is? I’m in London enjoying the summer/autumn and will be back in time for full on spring treat in Australia. I love spring fashion, as they are much more colourful than the solemn and gloomy winter colour palette. If you’re looking for new clothes to buy, here are some nice fashion for this spring, courtesy of Marc by Marc Jacobs, Miss Sixty, and John Galliano. Although of course these aren’t new stuff as they are from the Northern Hemisphere’s spring. I like them still.

Marc by Marc Jacobs: floral ruffled dress

Off-white colours mixed with colourful accessories!

Look cute in denim with this tiny dress!

Wear your jacket out sleeves up, spring style!
First up, Marc by Marc Jacobs. The little-sister line of Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs is more playful with the design, with a lot of mix-and-match in pattern, colour, and style. I like the ruffled jackets sleeves up combined with some sweet feminine floral designs. Perfect for spring! “And with the money those brocades will cost you, at least one thing’s for certain: The price is right” (well, not for all though).

Little red dress, big attitude!

Wear it for your next girls night out!

Got a cocktail party this weekend?
Next up, John Galliano. If Marc by Marc Jacobs offers designs for your everyday clothings, Galliano comes up with pretty dresses for all occasions (although some might argue, but I do like to overdress). As Style.com reviews it: “if there are parties to go to next season, these are the kinds of dresses many girls might dream of wearing to them”. Agreed.

Miss Sixty brings back the 70s with a modern twist!

Printed long tee, knee-high socks & cool bright jacket!

Cool style: simple dress plus belt & vest to match!

Stay cool as spring gets warmer by lookin cool!

Mix and match and look good ala Miss Sixty!
Final one, Miss Sixty. Every time I walk past the Miss Sixty shop in Melbourne Central on Little Lonsdale St, I always find myself perving at the window display. And this is no different. Casual clothings for the young and hip, Miss Sixty’s spring collection mixes a number of different styles together. “Realism is not what the customer craves—see the success of Gossip Girl for proof—and it has never been first and foremost on the minds of those who create this denim label”. And I can vouch to that.
Now that I’ve got some ideas on what to wear this spring, where’s my money tree?
