For lovers of cute stuff (and all things kawaii ala Japanese invention), here’s one thing you might want to own.

I know that coin banks might be something that’s more useful for little kids trying to save a little saving before they get their own bank account. But I’m sure some of you have experienced the need for a coin banks even as you grow older. Say, savings for that pair of shoes you’ve been wanting but can’t find a reason to swipe your card for it, or a wedding/honeymoon fund, or whatever it may be! This might be the perfect coin bank for you…

Itazure coin bank is a super-cute automated kitty bank, where a little kitty hides inside a box and “steals” your coins from a fish plate. The kitty meows too! Adorable.

Thanks Melvin for suggesting this particular item. If any of you have a suggestion, please comment on Thou Shalt Not Covet’s Facebook page! :)

Oh how I love all things kawaii. So when I discovered these cute advertising campaigns, I just have to post it here! Mind you, you might have to know a little bit about Japanese anime to understand these witty yet adorable ads. What you need to know is the fact that Japanese animations usually consist girls (and boys) with big round eyes that cover about half – or more – of their face… So now that that’s out of the way, here are 2 ads for Acuvue Define contact lens in Thailand:

Witty advertising of contact lens with cute anime character as the ambassador!

The Acuvue ad is relevant to the anime-obsessed population in Thailand & Asia!

And if that’s not enough cuteness (and for those not familiar with that brand), Covergirl too has created a kawaii ad to promote their eye make up products. Adorable!

Smart ideas, don’t you think? Using pop culture to accentuate their product branding. Kawaii!

Quick question… Who’s your favourite Sesame Street character? Is it the cute Elmo? Big Bird? Cookie Monster? There are so many characters to love from Sesame Street.

Celebrating 40 Years of Sesame Street

Celebrating 40 Years of Sesame Street

What’s more exciting is that this month, Sesame Street turns 40. To be exact, the first episode airs 40 years ago on November 10th! How very exciting. Check out this video celebrating the 40th season of Sesame Street, and many others on the Sesame Street YouTube channel

Most kids grew up watching Sesame Street. Not me though. I never really watched much of it. But that didn’t stop me from loving the characters of Sesame Street later on in life. All thanks to Elmo. Oh, and with a little bit of help from Rove! :)

How adorable! For those who love Sesame Street, make sure you check out the Sesame Street online store and grab a free Big Bird Google Doodle T-Shirt with every 40th anniversary item purchased. In fact, if you haven’t noticed in the past week or so, Google has been taken over by the Sesame Street characters! Here’s one…
