Okay, so I’m a little bit addicted to anything Alice in Wonderland related; from underwater Alice to Disney Couture jewellery range. It’s bizarre since I don’t actually remember much of the actual cartoon, nor have I read Lewis Caroll’s books. But there’s something magical, beyond the princess looking for a prince sort of magic, that really draws me to all things Alice. And yes, I’m a sucker for fairytales, let’s not forget that!

Anyways, the creative people at Flux Fotography created these beautiful Alice in Wonderland themed images for a Wine & Dine photoshoot which are not only magical, but also stunning in details and colours. I’d love to be in this world…

Oh, and all these Alice in Wonderland related images always get me excited for the upcoming Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movie – to be released in March 2010. Can’t wait! I’m sure I’ll find other awesome fairytale related images to be posted soon again!

If you don’t know that I love anything fairytale-related by now, well, you gotta start reading my blog more often! Lol. There’s something about Disney that captures the hearts of girls. We watch the movies when we were young, we wished we were one of the princesses saved by the knight in shining armour or that one true love’s kiss. Chicks dig Disney. Well, if you don’t agree with me, then I’ll just un-generalise that and say this: I dig Disney.

So when I saw the Disney Couture jewellery range online, I felt like it was a dream come true! Okay, not that dramatic, but they are pretty… And Karma Loop also offer plenty of discounts and coupon codes that you can use for your purchase. So you know what to do, buy me something! Lol.

The Disney Couture jewellery collection. Every little girl's dream!

There are many places in which you can get these Disney Couture pieces, and you can find different pieces from various shops. It’s wonderful. Some famous people have also been spotted wearing these – the likes of Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Lindsay Lohan, and Eva Longoria. Told ya chicks dig Disney! Here are a couple of the pieces:

Pocahontas inspired bangle with Meeko & Flitch charms

"Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?"

"Mirror mirror on the wall" - Snow White necklace

Alice in Wonderland: "Curiouser and Curiouser"

Something about it makes me feel as if I’m back to my childhood. I felt like I was Ariel – The Little Mermaid – when she discovered a fork (in which she thought was a hairbrush) – it was an excitement of finding something new and something so exquisite. My favourite is this:

"Think of a wonderful thought" ring

"Think of a wonderful thought" engraved on ring with crystal

Tinkerbell from Peterpan would love this!

How pretty. A piece that will surely give you happy thoughts in times of distressed. Oh how I love the words that Disney often use to magically transform us back into the times when we were kids. Dreams come true… Wish upon a star… A dream is a wish your heart makes… Believing is only the beginning… Dreamer…

Remember... Dreams Come True! :)

Disney fairytales: photographs of a million dreams

There’s something about the magical world of fairytales that enchants me. I am 25, no longer a little girl that needs to be tucked in bed listening to a fairytale before I can finally close my eyes and sleep. But I guess there really is a child in all of us. And for the ladies, this means keeping that inner wanting of a happily ever after.

And then there’s Disney. The fairytales animated. The fairytales beautified. The fairytales sung out as a love story and a happy ending for each of its leading lady. Disney is what we all love about fairytales. Disney is fairytales. At least for me. And so when I saw these photos the first time in 2007, I was stunned…

Where every Cinderella story comes true (Scarlett Johansson)

Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella

Where you're the fairest of them all (Rachel Weisz)

Rachel Weisz as Snow White

Where imagination saves the day (David Beckham as Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty)

Where wonderland is your destiny (Beyonce, Lyle Lovett, Oliver Pratt - Alice in Wonderland)

Beyonce as Alice, Lyle Lovett as March Hare, Oliver Pratt as Mad Hatter

Where the magic begins...

Julie Andrews as Blue Fairy from Pinocchio & Abigail Breslin as Fira (Disney fairies)

Jennifer Lopez as Jasmine, Marc Anthony as Aladdin

Roger Federer as King Arthur

Gisele Bündchen as Wendy, Tina Fey as Tinkerbell, Mikhail Baryshnikov as Peter Pan

Whoopi Goldberg as the Genie from Aladdin

I’ve posted the ones above in my private blog years ago, and I will again now – because art does not age. But I found out that there was another photograph released a few months after that creates the magic somewhere beyond the sea…

Michael Phelps as merman, Julianne Moore as Ariel from Little Mermaid

How beautiful. Annie Leibovitz, the creator of these amazing Disney photographs were asked to photograph these masterpieces as a part of the Disney’s Dream Portraits Series, to celebrate (and advertise) Disney’s Year of a Million Dreams campaign. The campaign has ended this year, as their new What Will You Celebrate? promotion begins, but these photos will definitely be talked about for years and years after.

What is your favourite among all those pictures? Hard to choose, eh? What about your favourite fairytale or Disney classics? I myself would have to think hard. But one thing I know is that these fairytales and photographs will always stay in my mind.
