I love creative shops. The kind that sells all sorts of arts & crafts or more. If you’re still looking for some colourful Christmas pressies to brighten up someone’s day, I suggest this.

When I found Little Missmatched, I gotta admit I was smiling gleefully. Why? The website is full of colours and life! Everything is so bright – and everything is mismatched in a way that they look even more stylish than if they were to be boring and matching. Makes sense?

Little Missmatched - Think Outside the Socks

Little Missmatched claims that “the media, celebrities and retailers alike have fallen madly in love with yours truly! Why? Cuz who else lets you: 1) be as missmatched as you wanna be, 2) go crazy with your creativity, 3) unleash your inner child to come out and play?!” – and that’s the whole idea of it! To look great in different patterns and colours! Awesome.

Love the winter collection - like these comfy colourful boots...

Would love to do something like this to my Converse shoes one day!

Love the odd combination of patterns & colours...

The flip flops are particularly adorable and trendy!!

A little pouch that fits anything up to your imagination - keep the change!

My personal favourite that makes me want to go to US to buy them!!!

They also sell more than just wearable goods. And oh my gosh, if I have my own house, I think I’d love to have some of the furnitures from Little Missmatched! Why? Let’s take a look at the creativity! :)

Turn it upside down, twist it inside out: same bed, different looks! Awesome...

Personalise your bed frame - and other things, available in the online shop!

Sadly, they only ship to US. They’ve got partner sites shipping to UK, Japan, Canada, and yeah no Aussie. I purchased some stuff for my sister & her hubby in the UK though – couldn’t help it! Lol.

The brand: Katz. The creative minds: Stanislav Katz and Dmitry Holomyov. The goal: to deliver creative and provocative ideas in form of attractive objects that could make our life a bit more colourful and less boring. In 2008, Katz was founded to created great things in the field of interior and industrial design. Here are some of the products that I found very interesting (and I want the bookshelf with the seat)…

Console - A perfect black/pink combo bookshelf with a bench!

Katz is also known for its interior design. They have experience working with public and personal spaces in homes and offices all over the world. Their work is rather cool, I’d have to say.

Some great interior design work that Katz has done!

You can visit Katz in Latvia. But if you don’t live there (like many of us), you can still check out their products and contact them for futher info. Although, there are one or two items in the website that you can purchase online! :)

Fatih Can Sarioz’s dinner table & living room design

I love concept designs. Well, sometimes. Some other times, I wish they are real life designs sold for the public (not that I can afford them anyway usually, but at least there’s that option if I choose to). Concept designs always look so futuristic, and the ideas are just out of this world. But of course, those that stand out are the ones that are more realistic and those that you can imagine owning and making your life easier.

Today, I’ll focus on a young designer (he’s one year younger than me) from Istanbul, Turkey. Fatih Can Sarioz. I love his concept designs not just for aesthetic reason (as you know I’m that kind of person), but also because of the smart use of space by making full use of the actual object he created. Two of his designs that I would totally like to own: “Kure” the dinner table and “Unit” the living room furniture.

Kure dining table: great concept design & smart use of space!

Not having dinner? Keep your dining area tidy but still make it cute & cool!

Look at Kure. Designed like a flower that opens up to a great dining table. When not in use, it can return to its spherical position that’s adorable to look at and will surely generation conversations. Love it. Now look at Unit. It looks awesome, that’s one thing. But why it’s so cool – as you’ll see in the photos – is again due to the smart way of reusing the different parts of that particular design. The bench can turn into a sofa by removing the top layer which can then be used as the tables. Smart thinking, here’s photos:

Unit for the living room of the future, where space is little...

Unit when everything's not taken apart - looks like a sleek table or a bench!

So what are the different bits of Unit?

Think of the possibilities. Sofas & table & side tables all in one design!

I wonder if these concept designs will one day become reality. And if they’ll be affordable (that’s always the next question)…
