Kampung Daun, or Village of Leaves by translation, is a traditional Indonesian restaurant in Bandung. Located in the scenic hill town of Lembang (West Java, Indonesia), Kampung Daun was originally a remote tropical forest, thick with bamboo groves and plants and trees of every variety, supplied by a beautiful waterfall. The concept of Kampung Daun is based upon a real village where the locals go about their daily activities with their trademark lifestyle of humbleness, friendliness, caring and service to each other.

I haven’t been there, even though I have visited Bandung many times in my life. But this time round, I am determined to visit and enjoy the traditional Indonesian food together with the beauty of the surrounding area. I mean, look at this place, who wouldn’t want to visit…

Now I’m only hoping that the experience is as wonderful as the reviews! :)

Beautiful wedding venues for the Bali experience

There are many beautiful venues in which one can get married in. My sister has chosen a superb location with an outdoor wedding by the canal. However, when it comes to buildings, I believe one of the best places to get married – no matter where you’re from – is in Bali. I’ve seen many wonderful images of Bali chapel weddings, and I’ve always wondered where these places are. So of course, I searched. Here are a couple of venues worth mentioning…

Most of these beautiful locations also offer the complete package, such as the one offered by Tirtha Luhur. You get more than just a wedding celebration, but you will also celebrate your first night in style and elegance

How beautiful. Weddings in Indonesia are way too overrated though. Everything is about 100x more expensive with the word “wedding” in it. But if I was rich, I’d do one in Bali just because it will look awesome in photographs! And make sure you’ve got a good photographer too. I’ll suggest one for you in the next post…
