Dazed & Confused with blue & grey autumn mood

This year’s summer is pretty good, in terms of temperature. Instead of the 40 degrees high that we had to endure last year, we’ve been getting some cool breeze, some rain, some nice sunny days, and some mixed Melbourne-specialty weather. It does make me feel like it’s more autumn than summer, but oh well…

Talking about autumn and gloomy (in a good way), fashion photographer Benjamin Alexander Huseby’s photoshoot for the latest issue of Dazed & Confused looks awesome. Combining blue and grey and all-things moody, models Hannah Holman and Antonella Graef wear ”an intriguing combination of tailored and unstructured pieces by Christopher Kane, Comme des Garçons and Balenciaga”.

Grey and blue create a great moody tones - got me thinkin' of autumn!

Love the colours? Enjoy the mood? This one's so flowy & dreamy!

Something about the blue and grey tones that reminds me of autumn’s gloom. Oh well, at least today the sun is shining! :)

Cute summer sleepwear inspired by Japanese mag

I’m never a big fan of nighties and lingeries. It’s not that I don’t like them, but I guess they’re not something I’m willing to pay big bucks for. But in saying that, I do find a lot of them very appealing. Afterall, a Victoria’s Secret fashion show is sometimes more appealing than watching a normal catwalk. But as some may know me, I prefer things casual and simple and yet cute.

I was reading (or more like, flipping through) ViVi, a Japanese fashion magazine, when I found these rather cute collection of sleepwear. Adorable! I tell ya, these Japs sure know how to sleep in style (and comfort too, for most of the items anyway)…

Not sure about wearing high socks at home, but they sure look good!!!

Pretty cute, aren’t they? My favourite summer sleepwear is my pair of Elmo short pants – cuteness to the max. It’s also a beachwear for me, as it’s always good to have multipurpose clothings! ;) I’m still yet to own my first nightie dress, as they’re all rather overpriced and not very practical, but maybe one day…

Skyscrape Rack, because messy is the new neat

I am a very messy person. I hate seeing a mess, but somehow my house ends up messy, thanks to procrastinating and “I’ll put that back later” attitude. So maybe what’s right for me is to have things around the house that are designed to look messy – and therefore, I can claim that messiness is just my creative style! Lol. Okay, fine, maybe not. But I still wouldn’t mind having this skyscrape towering book/magazine rack by Fredrik Färg.

What’s interesting (and even more money wasting) is the very fact that it looks so good with many racks together. I don’t know about you, but I love books and magazines – and so, that means I might need more than just one of these racks. Fret not, the foot design of this rack is made so that we can have a couple of them on one corner of the house and it’d look sleek (and messy) still!

The more the merrier/messier! ;)

I don’t think it’s everyone’s style. But for me, I kinda like the messiness of this book rack. Although one question remains, how tall are these? I hope I’d still be able to reach up to the highest bit…
