Quick question… Who’s your favourite Sesame Street character? Is it the cute Elmo? Big Bird? Cookie Monster? There are so many characters to love from Sesame Street.
Celebrating 40 Years of Sesame Street
What’s more exciting is that this month, Sesame Street turns 40. To be exact, the first episode airs 40 years ago on November 10th! How very exciting. Check out this video celebrating the 40th season of Sesame Street, and many others on the Sesame Street YouTube channel…
Most kids grew up watching Sesame Street. Not me though. I never really watched much of it. But that didn’t stop me from loving the characters of Sesame Street later on in life. All thanks to Elmo. Oh, and with a little bit of help from Rove! :)
How adorable! For those who love Sesame Street, make sure you check out the Sesame Street online store and grab a free Big Bird Google Doodle T-Shirt with every 40th anniversary item purchased. In fact, if you haven’t noticed in the past week or so, Google has been taken over by the Sesame Street characters! Here’s one…
Do you love helping people, but don’t know how to help? Do you wish you have a charity that you can give annually and support in different ways? Well, I do. And that is why, this year I had been looking out for various charity organisations that I could be involved in – in little and small ways. Right now, I’m not in a place where I can easily give money away, but I have all the time in the world.
But for the rest of you who would like to donate money, have you ever thought of Lifeline’s Stress Down Day? It’s Stress Down Day tomorrow, 24th of July that is.
Rove twitpic'd this the other day, he's got his. Have you got yours?
Get your Stress Down Slippers for AU$25 and wear them to work or school or anywhere else for that matter. It’s a sign that you are participating, the money goes to the Lifeline foundation, and it’s a way to increase awareness from the rest of the population (as I’m sure you’ll get plenty of glances or questions asked along the way)! There are other merchandises that you can buy, but I love these slippers.
I’m thinking of getting one just to wear at home – and of course, it’s for a good cause! :)
Some people like him, some people don’t. Some think his jokes are crude and funny… NOT, but some other laughed out loud even when he showed his ass on screen. Some people love Borat, some just don’t understand Sacha Baron Cohen’s ingenious acts. And now, Borat is back… NOT! Well, Sacha is back with his newest character and he sure is sexier, hotter, and much more outspoken than Borat. And that’s just the beginning. This character is… Bruno!
I don’t know if you are one of those people who hate Ali G and Borat. But as for me, I quite embrace Sacha’s on-screen personalities. And when I heard about Bruno, I did find myself wanting to know more about this movie. Well, all I know so far is that Bruno is a gay Austrian fashion reporter. Tell you the truth, I reckon he looks kinda alright! ;) Lol.
The movie is set to be released next week, and Sacha (as Bruno) was here in Australia to promote the movie. He was on Rove last Sunday, and for those who missed it, fear not. You can watch it all from Bruno’s official website or scroll down a little bit more to find the videos. Rove is my most favourite favourite TV personality – and I’ve loved this dude ever since before the start of Rove Live season one. And so watching this just made me laugh so hard as I can see that Rove is finding it very tough to “tame” Bruno. Hilarious.
I guess Bruno’s good in one thing, and that is to create the best publicity stunts at all prominent events and interviews to ensure that everyone’s got their attention on him. If that Rove interview wasn’t raunchy enough for you, there’s always MTV Music Awards last month. And this time it involves a familiar face…
Just in case you don’t know, Eminem has clarified a few days later that it was all an arranged publicity stunt, so he wasn’t that upset or anything. Although I couldn’t see why someone wouldn’t be upset or at least a little grossed out by that! Lol.
I won’t say that this will be the best show ever. Neither do I think that I’ll love it that much. But it is one of those movies that will definitely be easy to watch and easier to laugh at. And to me, that’s a good movie to watch indeed! ;)
It’s out tomorrow, so go and watch it with your friends for a bit of a laugh…
